What a compliment

The Decade line of Rocky Patel cigars is considered by many to be one of Patel’s greatest creations in the cigar world. The Rocky Patel Lancero is a 7in. cigar with a small ring gauge of 38. Tight packing of tobacco in the cigar gives a good draw and ensures that the Lancero stays lit.

Medium to full body with predominately earthy tones, you will taste a hint of cocoa throughout this great cigar. While the Lancero is not recommended for beginners , it should definitely be tried by any fan of Rocky Patel. If you’re looking for a way to kill an hour, this cigar is for you!

This cigar pairs well with Lepanto Viejo solera gran reserve, a brandy out of Spain that has been aged 12years in an American oak Solera system, then aged for a final 3 years in Oloroso Viejo sherry barrels.  Retaining its own personality, the brandy beautifully integrates the sherry’s character. The nose and palate displays ample cedar, dried fruit, and roasted walnuts,  which allows the Lancero and the Lepanto to complement each other in a fantastic way.

Color is a light amber, has a subtle nose. Great body, very smooth going down, leaving a slight barrel finish very nice woody undertones which you can really detect at the end as well as the agave flavor.

If you have another glass... as I did you'll appreciate its balance, you are content to settle back and enjoy it's complexities. The bottle is a quality affair but may be overlooked today as it is not as flashy as other products. I highly recommend this for drinking on its own without a chaser, other than lime. Among those who enjoy tequila this gets a lot of "what’s that?" Pick some up and see you will not be disappointed.
